We're Jammin'

This evening as things were winding down...

Mom and Dad turned on some music and brought out my instruments.

They're what I spent some of my birthday money on. There were 7 of them in one box for only $20, so we all figured it was a great birthday present for a kid like me.

First I warmed up on my Fish tapper.

I don't know what else to call it.

I do, however, have another way of using it.

Then I worked on my skills with the tambourine.

I like using it like a small drum.
The tambourine is a really neat instrument.

There's a couple of different ways to play it.

Next I used the spoon clacker... to drum on the tambourine, of course.

I told you it was versatile!

Daddy likes to demonstrate for me how to use the instruments. I'm watching him shake the rattling eggs in this picture.

And here I am rattling one by myself.

Honestly, this one wasn't a challenge for me.

Now he's showing me how to play the Kazoo.

I had a hard time with this one yesterday when we opened the box up.

But today I figured out how to make it make noise!

YAY!

This first pic was actually taken the moment I first successfully made it make noise, and in the second picture you can see in my eyes that I'm pleased with my new skill.

The Kazoo ended up being my favorite today.

I was so proud of myself. So were Mom and Dad.

I was so good at it, that Dad and I had a jam session.

Dad played the harmonica and I played my wonderful kazoo.

We played right along with the Supremes as they sang on the radio.

Much to the chagrin of the dog.

Rusty told me that I've never made a more annoying sound.

He barked at us to stop.

He whined.

And he buried his head under Daddy's butt.

Finally he gave up and sat on the couch and pouted.

But with me on the Kazoo, and Daddy on the Harmonica, it's sure to be a good time every time.

Whew! I never knew jam sessions could take so much energy.
