Happy Birthday!

I turned one year old today. First we gave the new high-chair a test-run. Grandma and Grandpa Nelson got this wonderful highchair for me, and they will be happy to know it fits me just right. I even have room to grow. I can't say that about a lot of things right now. I like it quite well.

Dixie was lots and lots of help for setting up and Paige took photos. Jason ran the video camera and took some pictures too. They all made it easier for Mom and Dad to enjoy my party.

The first forty five minutes or so was a lot like toddler time, except everyone was playing with MY toys. It made me a little uncomfortable, so I asked to nurse.

Then it was back to playing.

It was lots of fun to share my toys with my friends. Nobody got hurt or cried or fought or anything. We all got along. This is particularly remarkable because EVERYONE wanted a turn behind the wheel of my new car.

Lets get another look at the big fishy cake with it's jello-bubbles:

After cake some of my friends went home and the rest of us went swimming.

No baby dunking!

There was lots of fun and noise. Dad bought some beach balls and pool noodles to play with. They kept the older kids entertained. One adult kept each little kid entertained/safe.

It's not a stretch. Remember, this year I've already gotten a dog and a car.
I also had a great party! And the whole thing started at 2:00 pm, and Mom and I were warming up and rinsing off the chlorine in a hot bath by 5:00pm.

Wow, Donovan! That's a great party! I hope I'm that popular when I have a party. I am glad that you had fun and I wish I could have been there. Momma says maybe next time.
Looks like a great party. The cake was beautiful. I know that your mommy spent a lot of time making it for you. The decorations were very cool too. You must have been a very good boy for them to go to all that trouble. I sure whcih that grandpa and I could have been there. We are making plans to come see you soon though. I sure enjoy getting these updates from you. Keep letting us know what you are up to.
