Good Day For a Party

Today Mom and Dad and I went to a cowboy themed birthday party.

They had Cowboy hats and bandanas and Boot-shaped PBJ sandwiches.

We had lots of fun.

This is one of the games we played. The goal was to get the beanbags through the holes in this board. I did very well!

You can see Mommy clapping for me. I'm not modest, by the way. I clap for me, too.

I was so happy that Daddy came with us, too. Almost all the other children were older than I am, so I played mainly with Mom and Dad.

Another game we played was about knocking some cans over with a ball. I learned that you can knock them over by hitting them with the ball even when it's still in your hand.

Sometimes even cowboys need to take a break.

When everyone else played musical chairs, I helped Sabine start and stop the music. I made a good DJ.

There were several times throughout the party that I changed the track on the CD we were listening to. When I got bored or frustrated, I'd stand by the CD player and dance. I even almost had a tantrum at one point, but I found myself standing next to the stereo, so I stopped fussing and started dancing instead. Music is so therapeutic!

When everyone sang the birthday song, everyone else blew out their candles, and I was the last one to do it, but I did it by myself! It was the very first time I ever blew out a candle! Mom and Dad were so proud!

You might think Mom is looking happy in this picture because of me blowing the candle out. But that's only half of the reason. She happened to notice that there were more cupcakes coming.

Hey, I actually preferred the crackers to the cupcake, but don't get me wrong, I had a great time smearing the frosting all over!
