Call Me, Baby!

This morning I woke us up early. I didn't want to go back to sleep, so Mom changed my diaper and took me downstairs. She made me some rice cereal, which I flat out refused, and she gave me a segment of banana, which I grabbed and passionately threw to the floor.

Mom said that she was going to need some breakfast and caffeine if she was going to be properly patient with me. She let me watch Elmo while she ate and prepared her tea. As soon as the tea was ready, I decided I was ready to go back to bed.

After I decided we were done napping we got up and Mom prepared some wheat toast and a banana segment for me. I ate it all up.

Mom drank her tea cold.

I helped Mom sort some papers and then I rode my little scooter bike around a little bit.

This afternoon I went with Mom to the Dr's office. They said Mom is mostly healthy. That's good. They took some blood make sure there's no serious reason she's losing weight. She didn't even cry when they poked her. Of course, I wiggled around on her lap to distract her.

When we got home Mom invited Dixie over to play with me while she prepared for a facial. I love Dixie. She's so much fun. She lets me play on the computer. She even lets me click the mouse.

When Mom's appointment arrived I found out it was Tyrus & his mom. I love it when my friends from Toddler Time come to visit.

This evening I was pretending to talk to Daddy on the phone with the channel changer. We don't actually watch TV around here, so I imagine that's what the remote control is good for. Mom called Daddy on her phone, too, and we both talked to him. He got to hear me saying "Dada" and various variations on it, even "Daddy" once or twice in a rather primitive form. When I play telephone, that's one of my favorite sets of sounds to make.

I'm going to have to wrap this up. I just got an important call.

It's Elmo.
