Weekend Review

Saturday morning Mom let me drink some water out of a cup by myself. Sometimes she still has to lift the cup a bit for me so I can actually get a gulp, but I'm making less of a mess than I used to. One of the biggest changes is that when she gives me a cup or bowl that has something in it that I want, I drink or eat what I want from it before I drop it on the floor.

I think my t-shirt was a little too big for me yesterday because I could see my belly even though I was still wearing a shirt. That was cool. I dropped Cheerios down the front of my shirt. Mom found 2 of them in my diaper! Now if that's not impressive, I don't know what I have to do to please you folks.

What about this?

Since we finally got our stuff, Mom wanted to vacuum. The vacuum made a lot of noise, but I wasn't scared. I just showed it that I could still yell louder. Then I chewed on it. Mom didn't think that was a good idea. She never does.

Later one of our friends brought her puppy over. Alex is cool, but this puppy is a hoot! Her name is Dinah. She's a Boston-Terrier - Chihuahua mix. And she likes to bark at me and run in circles around me.

She runs around so much it's hard to get a picture of her.

She's a lot of work, though, and by the time she left, she & I were both ready for naps.

Sunday morning Mom & I went grocery shopping. We also bought more batteries for the camera.

When we came home I didn't want to sleep alone in my bed, so Mom let me nap on the couch. I woke up when I rolled off. Mom had a cushion placed to catch me, so it didn't hurt. It's like she knew I would fall off. She's good like that.

While I was sleeping, she was making a pizza. I got to eat the crust again. It was good. I just hope her milk doesn't tase like garlic until Tuesday.

I'm starting to stand up on my own more & more. Here I am reaching for a book Mom put in the seat of my stroller. She knows I like my books. Whether Mom or Dad is reading them to me, or I'm flipping through one by myself, or I'm just chewing on them, they're always enjoyable.

Another thing I really enjoy lately is climbing out of my walker. My favorite reasons to get out are to get to stuff on the floor and to play with Alex.

Mom's cute because I think she thinks I do it on accident. She keeps trying to put me back in. She says I'm easier to keep track of that way.

I'm not that hard to keep track of. Just follow the Cheerio trail.
