Happy Valentine's Day

Monday was a pretty normal day. We didn't do a lot outside the house. Mom says that's okay to have a day like that once in a while. Especially when you have lots of days before and/or after that are busy.

We just did lots of unpacking and playing.
I took a good nap in the morning. Then for lunch, I had some fruit and some food from a jar. And when I was done with that, Mom and I split a cupcake leftover from Saturday.
I thought the green

Well, like she says, we aren't always going to agree on these things.
We did go down to the beach for a little bit, but it was kind of windy and chilly. So we didn't take any pictures, and I spent most of the time in the carrier on Mom's back while she picked up some stones for our garden. She pulled a blanket up over my head so I wouldn't feel the wind so badly and I was able to peek out over her shoulder.
I gave her my opinion of certain rocks and how pretty the ocean was. At one point I reached out from under the blanket so Mom could hold my hand. I didn't get cold, though. Mom did. Her hat also flew off a couple of times. She asked me to hold it on her head for her, but it was too funny when it blew away.

Tuesday I helped Mom clean up a little bit. I offered my own method of disposing of the garbage, but Mom said that it wouldn't be necessary. I think she was afraid it would make me poop more. Monday I pooped FOUR TIMES! Tuesday I gave her a break and only pooped twice.

Mom says that the reason I poop out the back must be so that she can clean me up while I'm crawling away. She probably shouldn't have let me hear that because now I am pretty sure that I'm supposed to crawl away so she can get to my bum when she needs to clean me. I'm just trying to make things easier on her.

Mom played a CD when we got home & I got excited. I like to dance, too. Whether Mom is holding me or I just get to rock out by myself, it's lots of fun. I have a pretty good sense of rythm, too.

I kinda wore myself out, so I had an extra nap. Mom put me on the couch for that one because she was cooking & didn't want to have me too far away.
She wrapped me in a blanket that cousin Sylvia made for me. It was cozy. I slept for an hour. Even Mom's banging around in the kitchen didn't wake me.

He's so patient with me. Mom says he gets tired of me being so rough with him. But Alex is a boy, and so am I, so we know how boys play. Mom is a girl, she just doesn't understand.
Besides, I am very good at petting him gently. I just know that we have more fun than that.

Mom let me feed myself part of my dinner again. I really enjoy that. I'm getting good at it, too.

I wasn't excited about her choice of dinners tonight, though, so I threw my bowl away.
I am picking up on the fact that throwing things into the cat room means Mom's not going to give them back.

Hey, I got more banana out of the deal. I know how to get my way around here.
Yeah, BABY!

Vanessa,
It appears you could cut back on the large geography of the messes with the purchase of a highchair.
Do they have any used baby stuff stores there?
Keep the blog entries coming! we are getting quite a kick out of them!
