Fun With the Boys

This morning we had to go to Wal-Mart for diapers and quarters for laundry, but while we were there, Mom said I could have a book since it only cost a couple of bucks. She helped me pick out this one. I think I'm going to like it.

We received a present from Grandma and Grandpa Nelson today, too. Mom say's it's a maracca. I love how it rattles, but why limit the fun to just making noise?

This afternoon we went to the park with Owen and Charlie and their mommies (Mrs. Owen & Mrs. Charlie, of course).

This was the first time I spent any time in shoes. I kinda clunked around in them at first, but I think I managed to look cool.

Owen and Charlie have been wearing shoes for a while, now, so I didn't make a fuss over them at the park. (As soon as I got in the carseat later, though, I told Mom I wanted them OFF!)

Mom and I swung on a swing together. It was okay. It would have been better if my silly jacket would have either gotten out of my face, or between my teeth.

I had a good time with the guys. Here's Charlie telling me a secret through the porthole. I can't tell you what he said. But I'm sure it was clever.

It was good to just hang out and talk about guy stuff.

I really enjoy it when Mom takes me out to spend time with my friends.

It always makes for good fun.

Especially since we're all interested in the same things and we're about the same size.

It's almost impossible, though to get us all looking at the camera at the same time.

The mommies tried. But they just don't understand.

Big boys like us don't like holding still for as long as it takes to get the "perfect" photo. E-gads! If we did that, they'd expect us to hold still for everything. That's baby stuff.

I, for one, have more urgent things to do. Like figuring out where this tunnel will take me.

And getting my turn at the wheel.

We had so much fun! We stayed for almost 2 hours!

Once we got in the car, like I said, I had Mom take off those shoes, and then...

You must know, by the way, we live in a small town. We must have a 7 minute drive from the park to our home, but I was OUT! You can see that Mom even started unbuckling me, and I still didn't stir.

I slept for more than 2 hours! It was great!

Mom made macaroni & cheese for dinner.

She lets me feed myself when it's finger food. When I was full, I just threw the rest of the noodles on the floor. Might as well save them for later.

And then I took a bath. Mom was splashing me when this photo was taken. I think it's funny when she does that. The warm water feels nice.

My left nipple is red, and I don't know why. Mom says if it doesn't go down by tomorrow, she's going to take me to see a doctor to make sure it's nothing to worry about.

It doesn't itch or hurt or anything, so I'm not worried.

Hopefully tonight I dream about being at the park again. I hope we go back again real soon. Mom says we're going to have some cold weather over the next few days, but as soon as it warms up again, we will probably go back.

I can't wait!
