Being Social

This morning we went to Toddler Time. We go every Wednesday morning. It gives me a chance to play with other children and toys. It also gives Mom a chance to talk to other Moms.
Today I played with the Xylophone. I enjoy musical instruments.
For the first time today I took a toy away from another child. The little girl sitting behind me in the photo is also 10 months old, and she was playing with the Xylophone before I took it.
Mom says she thinks this is a new stage in my development because I'm starting to express my desires among my peers. Over the last few weeks when we've gone,
I have been very passive, and I even let other children take things from me. Not today, though.

We also painted with cornstarch and food-color paints. I got more on me than on the paper, but at least the color wasn't very noticable at all. I just had cornstarch on my face.
Not quite sure how that happened.

When we stopped in at a clinic to make an appointment for me on our way home, Mom explained about the paint to the woman behind the counter. I think she was worried the woman might think I had some kind of fungus.

When we got home we took a nap.
Later on we went for a walk with Amelia (the pretty girl), Francis (the dog) & Andrew (the grown-up). We walked 1 mile. Both Amelia and I fell asleep.

We also met 4 more of our neighbors this evening. Bill, Debbie and Stacee and her son Mason. He's a year old. We invited him (and his mom) to Toddler Time.
This evening I took a bath. I needed to have my hair washed because I have a habit of sticking my hands in my hair even when I have banana or soggy Cheerios on my fingers.

I had lots of fun with my duck collection, but I also like to pull the plug on the tub. Most of my ducks only float upright some of the time, anyway.

I also have discovered that I have a built-in bath toy.
Mom says that's a real good reason to start cooperating with her attempts to clip my fingernails.
