Indoor Gardening

Today we planted some seeds in some dirt inside. I got to spray the dirt afterwards with the water bottle.
Mom was afraid if we planted them directly outside that the birds would eat them.
That would be sad because these are baby plants.
Oops, Mom, did I get your face?
Hey, who tracked all this dirt in?And what better way to reward a job well done...
I was so happy when Mom handed me the peach that I thanked her twice without her even having to remind me!

What I've Been Up To

Since it's been a long time, I just wanted to update all of you on my recent advancements.

I still use a lot of sign language:
Milk, more, spider, bird, snake, fish, turtle, bunny, stars, shoes, socks, hi, bye, goodnight (wave), hurts, please, thank you, cookie, cracker, dog, sorry and more I can't remember right now.
Mom says I'm going to learn "angry", "sad", "scared" and "happy" next.

I make lots of vocal sounds that are not specifically words:
Vmmmmm (any type of vehicle)
Pssss - potty
Eeew - poop/yucky
Csh - Chocolate
"Pha" - (smack your lips open - it's a sound effect more than a vocalization - does that make sense?) Bread/Pizza/hungry
Mmmm - hungry
Pkh - (Imitating the sound of the toaster) Toast or Waffles)
Nehee - horse
Bzzz - Bee
and a nasal snort that means "pig"

I also say lots of real words and almost-words.
"Ki-ee" is kitty
"down"
"Ba" Box
"Mom"
"Dad"
"no"
"Ball" (with the proper inflection, this also means balloon)
"Ba-o" Bubbles - said in a high pitch tone
"Boo"
"Yeti"
"Dum" means Stomp
"Dju" juice/water
"Da" Dog
"ah" Yes
"dchoo" shoe
"CH" toothbrush
"baa" bath
"puh" please
"ow" - boo boo
"oh" - uh oh
"tuh" (breathy) - means anything I'm not suppose to touch - like the pellet stove or a decorative fountain.
"doh" don't
"woah" telephone
"oh" Elmo/bandaid (which has Elmo on it, of course)
I am starting to put words together. Like combining the signs "bird" and "spider" to indicate flying bugs, or saying "juice box".
When Dad and I were upstairs and Mom was downstairs the other day, I started to leave Dad, so he asked where I was going. I said, "Mom down".

I also know who stuff belongs to. I can tell Mom that the beer is Dads or tell Dad that the purse is Mom's or tell the two of them that the cat treat is for the kitty.

I can usually identify Red, blue, green and yellow pretty well.

I can also sing along with the backyardigans pretty well - and during the soccer episode I kick my soccer ball around.

I listen to commands very well. I will (most of the time) stop on command, put stuff back and close doors, etc. I can share when prompted and use please and thank-you spontaneously now.

I'm learning to use "sorry" when I hurt someone or knock their blocks over or something.
I can also retrieve things very well. I can follow prepositions to find them. "In front of you, behind you, by the chair, under the table..."

I have also been caught pretending to talk on Mom's phone with a pen in my hand poised over her date-book.

And the other day while mom was reading the mail, I surprised her by picking up all my toys and putting them away in the baskets and on the shelves.
So, yeah. There's probably more, but it's time for bed.
